Aleyois grew up in Puebla, Mexico, and early on, she developed a curiosity about the world. Her journey led her to the US in 2014 after working at a summer camp in New England to improve her English. Now calling Kansas City home, Aleyois has been with Maya Yoga since 2021. Here, she reconnected with her spiritual side through Ashtanga, which she weaves into her daily life and artistic pursuits.

Guided by our expert instructor, Aleyois, who is a native Spanish speaker, you'll explore the fundamental elements of Ashtanga yoga in a welcoming and familiar environment.

  1. Breathwork (Ujjayi Pranayama): Learn the essential breathing technique of Ashtanga yoga, known as Ujjayi Pranayama. This controlled breath helps you generate internal heat and maintain focus throughout the practice, facilitating a meditative state.
